RunShelf

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 29, 2026. This is a starting draft, not a substitute for review by a lawyer licensed where RunShelf operates — have it reviewed before relying on it at scale.

These Terms govern your use of RunShelf, a mobile inventory and storefront app that lets shop owners photograph shelves to build a digital inventory, and optionally sell online through a RunShelf-hosted storefront. "We," "us," and "RunShelf" refer to the RunShelf platform. "You" refers to anyone using the app, whether as a shop owner or a shopper on a RunShelf storefront.

1. Accounts and shops

You can use RunShelf's core scanning and inventory features without creating an account — the app works fully offline on your device. Creating an account and linking a shop is required to sync data across devices and to sell through a public storefront. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Shop owner responsibilities

  • You're responsible for the accuracy of the inventory, prices, and product listings you publish.
  • AI-assisted scanning is a starting point, not a guarantee — always confirm scanned items before they go live.
  • You're responsible for fulfilling orders placed through your storefront and for your own return, refund, and shipping policies toward your customers (see our Refund & Returns page for how this works on RunShelf).
  • You must comply with applicable consumer protection, tax, and trade laws in the countries where you sell.

3. Payments

Storefront checkout is processed through payment providers you connect yourself (Paystack and/or Flutterwave) — RunShelf never holds your customers' funds. Your own RunShelf subscription, if you choose a paid plan, is billed separately through RunShelf's own Paystack account.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use RunShelf to list illegal goods, infringe someone else's intellectual property, defraud customers, or abuse the platform's AI features (for example, scripted requests designed to run up costs rather than catalogue real inventory). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

5. AI features

Shelf photos are sent to a third-party AI vision service to identify products; a public storefront's AI search assistant answers only from that shop's real published catalogue. These features can make mistakes — always verify before relying on their output for pricing, stock decisions, or customer-facing claims.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

RunShelf is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for lost inventory data, missed sales, or disputes between a shop and its customers, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
